Our commitment

Special Operations Support Inc. wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice control or keyboard-only navigation.

Our goal is to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

What we do to support accessibility

The site is designed to:

  • work with a keyboard, with a “Skip to main content” link and visible focus outlines;
  • use clear headings, page regions and labels that assistive technology can understand;
  • use text and background colors with enough contrast to read comfortably;
  • keep buttons and links large enough to tap easily on a phone;
  • respect your device’s “reduce motion” setting by turning off animations and auto-advancing slides;
  • let you pause any content that moves on its own;
  • give form fields clear labels and plain error messages.

Known limitations

Some content on the site comes from other services, and we can’t fully control how accessible it is:

  • Social media feeds (X and Facebook) on our News page may not work well with every screen reader, and may not load at all if they’re blocked. When they don’t load, we show a link to our profile instead.
  • The embedded map on our Contact page can be hard to use with a keyboard or screen reader. Our full address and a directions link are always shown as text next to it.
  • The spam check on our contact form is provided by Cloudflare Turnstile. If it gives you trouble, please email or call us instead.
